Valentine's Day Writing Activities and Craft

This Valentine's Day craft resource includes activities, printables, and history minilessons to teach before your students make the writing craft!

These quick and easy minilessons teach your students about the history of Valentine's Day, and why people started celebrating it. the second minilesson is on defining a "valentine" and identifying how the word is used, then determining its part of speech.

Finally, take photos of your students! The writing craft uses photos you take of your students and is a fun way for them to write about ways they show people they care. Display your students' writing for an easy Valentine’s Day bulletin board or a low-prep door display. Blank writing templates are included so you can even write in your own prompt if you wish.
