Valentine's Day | St. Valentine Digital Interactive Notebook
- Google Slides™
Description
This is a perfect no-plan lesson for February to teach about the Saint behind the day. Use the reader's theatre digitally or in the classroom, and the slides can be worked on as a digital notebook in Google Slides, or printed for normal interactive notebook pages!
*The reader's theater can be used in 2nd grade on, depending on reading level. Please see sample text below:
Narrator 4: And so Julia's sight was restored! It was a miracle!
Narrator 2: So then St. V got released from jail?
Prison Guard: No, unfortunately the Emperor told him that he would release him if he could admit that marrying people was wrong.
Narrator 3: But Valentine believed so strongly that marriage was a sacred sacrament of love and God, that he refused. He was executed on the 14th of February.
Narrator 5: BUT! Before he was executed, he sent the Guard with a letter to Julia encouraging her to stay close to God. He signed this letter, "your Valentine."
Narrator 2: Oh! I GET IT! That's why we make Valentine's day cards that say "From, your Valentine."
