Description

It's almost Valentine's Day, and what better way to get your students motivated to read than with a creative and fun activity? With these Valentine's Day Reading Response Flipbooks, your students will be able to write about and respond to reading in an engaging and fun way. They are perfect to use with any book or text, both fiction and nonfiction.

Not only is this activity great to use anytime in February, but it encourages students to express their thoughts and ideas about their reading. This is a great way to get reluctant readers excited about reading and responding to literature!

After reading a book, story, or text students will write to describe the story elements, tell about the sequence (beginning, middle, and end), or they may write about a non-fiction book by providing important details from the book.

Choose from 3 different fiction flipbooks, a non-fiction flipbook, or the time-saving one pager.

Skills Include Writing About:

  • Character
  • Setting
  • Problem
  • Solution
  • Beginning
  • Middle
  • End
  • Summary

Students may even be asked to illustrate about their reading on some pages.
