Description

Easily plan a fun and engaging Valentine's Day party with these Valentine's Day party games and Valentine's Day party crafts! There are 6 Valentine's Day party activities included: an adorable love monster craft, literacy game, math game, fine motor activity, gross motor activity and science experiments. All activities are low prep and use common classroom supplies. Simply print (and laminate if you want to) on regular paper, card stock, colored paper or colored card stock. There is more than enough to last the whole day and keep your little lovebugs engaged!

Please note: You will need candy hearts to complete the Heart Stack and You Fill My Heart activities.

INCLUDED ACTIVITIES:

  1. Love Monster Glyph (craft)
  2. Heart Words Bingo with Editable Words and 30 Game Boards (literacy)
  3. Count the Candy (math)
  4. Heart Stack Challenge (math)
  5. You Fill My Heart (math)
  6. Valentine's Day Play Dough Mats (fine motor and/or student gift)
  7. Lovely Charades (gross motor)
  8. Love Is in the Air Experiment (science)

Here's a quick outline of how you can use these Valentine's Day party ideas:

  • Begin your day with your calendar and morning meeting routine. (15 minutes)
  • Read your favorite Valentine's Day book. (10 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. Choose 3 or 4 students (one at a time) to act out a card. The class will guess the action. Once they have guessed correctly, the entire class can complete that motion. (5 minutes)
  • Play a few rounds of Heart Words. (20 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. (5 minutes)
  • Read your favorite Valentine's Day book. (10 minutes)
  • Play the Count the Candy game, or complete the candy heart math activities. (20 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. (5 minutes)
  • Use the fine motor Valentine's Day play dough mats. (15 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. (5 minutes)
  • Read your favorite Cupid or Valentine's Day book. (10 minutes)
  • Complete the Love Is In the Air and/or Soaring Hearts science experiment(s). (40 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. (5 minutes)
  • Read your favorite love monster book. (10 minutes)
  • Create the love monster glyph craft. (60 minutes)
  • Take a brain break using the Lovely Charades game. (5 minutes)
