Are you looking for a way to keep your class engaged on Valentine's Day? Use this around the school scavenger hunt to do just that! Students will solve math problem, find hearts (using riddles/clues), and put together the answer to a Valentine Joke.

Math Skills included in the PDF:
Adding Decimals
Subtracting Decimals
Multiplying Decimals
Dividing Decimals
*Some problems are two step.

This product is FULLY EDITABLE and comes in a full color version and in a black and white version (that can be run off using colored cardstock! The math problems included in this pack are 4th/5th grade level questions, most would also work for fourth grade, but you can add your own problems by typing them into the editable PowerPoint that is included.

In order to get your class started, you will need to place envelopes around the school, stuff and place envelopes on your board, set expectations, and copy recording page. Students will eventually solve the answer to the joke "What did the burger get his sweetie for Valentine's Day?" as they work through the scavenger hunt. In order to start the hunt, give each group one of the clue envelopes from the board. Students will read that clue/riddle in order to go find their first heart. After students find and solve their first heart, they will grab their next riddle and the process will continue until all eight hearts are found. After 8 hearts are found, students will put them in front of their Cupid in the correct order that correctly solves the Valentine joke.
