Students will love playing ‘Valentine’s Day Diner’ as they learn vocabulary, practice social skills, and use their imaginations!
Valentine's Day activities combine literacy, math, fine motor, and matching skills and concepts. Included are photos of the dramatic play set in action to help you set up signs, labels, props, and more. Add your own chefs hats, dishes, and the included printable props.
This center can easily be shared between three or more students at once:
- The customer will practice reading the menu + counting Valentine's Day dollars + drawing a menu suggestion
- The server will communicate the order to the chef + stamp the customer loyalty card + deliver the completed dish to the customer
- The chef will have an opportunity to play a matching game as he or she gathers the necessary ingredients for each recipe card
The included menu suggestion cards will encourage students to get creative with their own recipes! They will simply name their suggested menu item then draw the ingredients & final product.
