Utopia and Dystopia: Smartboard Presentation

This is to help teachers introduce the Utopian and Dystopian Genre to Students. This is a Smartboard Presentation. Please download the student worksheet and teachers guide (sold separately for 4$). Together, the presentation and Work together will take about 2 class periods. The work can also be assigned as homework - its pretty much a review of what was discussed in class.

Smartboard Presentation: A lecture and interactive activity that has the class define utopia/dystopia and come up with movies and books that fit in each category. There are links to movie clips as well. Discussion about dystopic themes & the purpose of dystopian novels/movies.

Student Workbook: essentially a review of what was discussed during the Smartboard presentation. Students are asked to come up with definitions, list films, examine examples and reflect on elements of their own society.
