Description
Unit Overview: US Immigration
US Immigration can be broken down into five "phases," starting with the first non-indigenous settlers, the Europeans, to the current phase, post Hart–Celler Act immigration trends (Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965).
Students will start the US Immigration Unit by being introduced to vocabulary, a slide desk overview of the five "phases" with guided notes, readings, and graphic organizers for each immigration phase, and a Brown Univerity immigration studies professor Q/A worksheet. Overall, a pretty comprehensive start to a strong unit on US Immigration history for any Middle-Highschool aged student.

- Unit Vocabulary.
- Unit Overview: US Immigration PowerPoint and Guided Notes.
- Unit Overview: Readings and Graphic Organizer.
- Unit Overview: Brown Univerity Professor Video interview + Q/A Worksheet.
