What educators are saying

This was a great resource. It was truly constructed very well. It saved me so much time and my students really understood the concepts I was trying to get across to them.
It's essential to learn about historically marginalized groups in history. This was a great resource to do so!

Description

What were the roles and expectations placed on women in Colonial America? To what extent is the sexism of today tied to the sexism of the past? Seemingly simple, yet incredibly complex questions.

Challenge your students to analyze the roots of sexism in Colonial America through a Women's Voices Gallery Walk and a controversial text on women by Benjamin Franklin. These sources can easily be modified for your class!

This Inquiry Lesson is a part of my larger 11-lesson, 2-week Colonial America Unit.
