Description

This easy to read, one page passage explores the difference between unicellular and multicellular organisms. It explains:

  • cells are like building blocks that make up all living things
  • unicellular organisms have only one cell with small organelles that carry out important jobs
  • bacteria, protists, and yeast are examples of unicellular organisms
  • multicellular organisms have more than one cell with different types of cells that perform different functions
  • humans are multicellular organisms

The passage includes 10 multiple choice reading comprehension questions, an answer key, and 2 self-scoring digital versions - EASEL and Google Forms. Color and black line illustrations are included to accommodate black and white printing.
