Description
Understanding place value with decimals and whole numbers is essential to learning math. Start your place value unit off with the end in mind. Gather key information about what your students know and are able to do prior to your instruction. Having this specific data on the grade-level standard will help you plan your small group instruction without feeling overwhelmed.
After you've taught the skill now you are ready for the understanding place value post-test to see what your students have learned and if you need to reteach...there is a 2nd post-test for that.
If you don't need assessments you can use them as 5th-grade morning work or math extra practice. Just choose the page that meets your need.
Enrich your 4th graders and remediate your 6th graders.
