This resource includes five activity pages and their answer keys. The passage is written at a 6th grade reading level and is accompanied with a sequencing graphic organizer, multiple choice activity (5 prompts), a matching activity (6 prompts), main idea/supporting detail activity, and a real-world scenario budgeting activity. All answer keys are included.

The objective of this activity is for students to be able to understand that a budget is a tool to plan the spendings and savings of income. Additionally, students will be able to apply this in their understanding of the basic principle of effective personal money management: to live within one’s income.
