This Decades Project has everything you need! No need to search the internet for your information! There are NINE articles written about each decade from 1920-2000 in the United States!
Assign small groups of students a decade, give them the information sheet and the research organizer, and give them time to research. Give them internet access so that they can look up things they don't recognize and listen to songs from their decade.
There is a fun student project with rubric included as well as two writing activities. This unit is so much fun and so educational! It can lead to a great discussion on the struggles that America has gone through to get to where we are today.
