Description
This unit was designed in Understanding by Design format with a Literacy focus on Memoirs.
The unit is aimed towards a 5th grade level but standards can be adjusted for any other grade (1-8).
Unit includes teaching points/lesson topics for each day for Reading and Writing Workshop, overall end of unit assessment/project/rubric, standards, and much more!
The unit is cross curricular with science and social studies where students research a scientist then place themselves in their shoes to write about the invention that changed their lives! My students really enjoyed this unit and I'm sure yours will too!
