Twilight Guided Theme Essay for the Novel

Students will learn how to identify theme, examples from Lord of the FLies are given, these can easily be modified by teacher if they are not familiar with this famous novel. Students will learn how to identify subject and theme and write statements of theme. In this lesson, students will brainstorm together subjects and themes of the novel, and create their own statement of theme. They will on their own, write an essay using textual evidence using their chosen theme. Teachers can print the Smartboard presentation as a handout for students.
