Description
Hide a turkey with this Thanksgiving STEM Challenge and Thanksgiving Persuasive Writing Activity!
An excellent companion activity to the Thanksgiving read aloud book 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey. Students design and build a Turkey Fort and pulley to hide a turkey and sneak it away from the farm.
Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.
After the STEM projects are created, students write a persuasive letter to the farmer giving reasons to release the turkey.
Aligns with NGSS and Common Core.
