Description

A fun Thanksgiving themed STEM challenge for all ages! Check out this fun design challenge. Learners will create a hideout for their turkey so that it doesn't get eaten for Thanksgiving! They will use base-ten blocks to build their shelter. Have a great discussion about base-ten blocks and what they are used for. If you are looking for more of a math focus, check out this same lesson that integrates place value! The Google Slideshow will walk you and your learners through the activity, including a read aloud about hiding a turkey on Thanksgiving. Be sure to pick up the free STEM Notebook paper from my shop to use with this challenge! I simply printed a turkey image from the web.
