True Crime Research Project (Final Project/End of Semester Project/Easy/No Prep)
Have your students apply what they have learned throughout the year/semester, as they research a famous or well known True Crime case.
In this purchase you receive the complete teacher instructions, points breakdown, rubric, 34 case summaries for students to preview, a research and planning document, a vocabulary list, and an extra credit assignment.
All of the cases have either a documentary, podcast, episode of Dateline, etc.
Students create a poster based on their research and present the poster as a part of their total grade. Also included is the option to create a video, instead of presenting in person.
To minimize duplicates, I put all of the student's names in a random name generator and that is the order they get to choose their projects in.
I have done this project for the last few years, and my students still talk about the cases they researched. This is also a great way to present student work year after year!
