What educators are saying
Students had fun with this project! It got them out of their seat and they were actually able to apply what they learned in class to the real world around them. Would recommend!
Description
This is a fun project where the students will create an inclinometer and use it to find the height of a tall structure outside, such as a tall tree, using trigonometry learned in the unit. This is a great hands-on activity for everyone in the class, especially if you have students who are struggling to understand trigonometry. This project is very engaging and I have always had positive feedback by students and parents. Data Collection Form, Peer/Self-Assessment and Rubric are included. I'm sure you and your students will find this project as enjoyable as I did.
