Transformations of Functions DESMOS Online Calculator Exploration Activity

This is an exploration activity which utilizes Desmos.com, a free online graphing calculator, to allow students to explore the different transformations of functions. It's a great way to show transformations of functions to students virtually or in-person.

— Students will follow steps taking them through each of the individual transformations that can occur.

— Students will be asked to make predictions, generalize what they've seen, and answer specific questions to confirm that they are able to apply what they are learning.

— Teacher check points are placed throughout the activity to help ensure students are working through the activity correctly and gaining correct insight into the transformations.
