Description

This cute worksheet is a Christmas themed problem-solving activity that requires students to analyze linear functions in multiple representations (graph, table, equations, verbal). Students will compare four different toy workshops at the North Pole to give Santa advice on where to order this year's toys.

Students will find rate of change, y-intercept, and linear functions to represent each workshop, then use them to find the costs of different-sized orders. They will make recommendations based on this information. A detailed answer key is provided, along with suggestions for discussion.

This is a great themed activity for the holidays! :)

Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions). For example, given a linear function represented by a table of values and a linear function represented by an algebraic expression, determine which function has the greater rate of change.
