What educators are saying

My students loved this lesson. They loved the song and the different variations. They definitely enjoyed this lesson.

Description

This lesson teaches tone and mood using the song "Sound of Silence". It is presented in three different formats, with three different versions (Trolls, Simon and Garfunkel, Disturbed) The students must listen to each version to get the tone and mood from each. There are questions that go with figurative language, color presentation, denotation and connotation, and compare/contrast. There is also a RACED question. This is a full lesson that will take at least one hour.
