    Description

Times Tables Games - Bundle (Matching Game and Four in a Row)

These times tables games are a fun and effective way for your students to learn their tables. This bundle includes two games (both available separately too!) explained below.

    Times Tables Matching Game

A printable matching game for times tables 2 to 12. The game includes sum cards and answer cards. Backing sheets are included, designed to be stuck onto the backs of the sums and answers, they prevent the cards from being see-through and they keep the cards with their matching set!

How to play? The game is played with the cards facing down, players take turns to flip two cards over, if they are a sum and answer matching pair, they keep the cards. If not, the next player takes his/her turn. When all cards have been won, the player with the most matching pairs is the winner.

    * Make this an active game by turning it into a relay race. Players must run and retrieve two matching cards, the team to finish first wins.

Times Tables Four in a Row Game

A printable four in a row game for times tables 2 to 12.

Perfect for providing a fun way to encourage the repetition and practice needed to commit times tables to memory. Your students won't even realise they're learning!

The game includes a spinner card and four playing cards for each times table.

    How to play?

There are four playing cards for each times table. Each player has a playing card. One spinner is used between all players. Players take turns to spin the spinner. Multiply the number the spinner lands on by the number in the centre. There are then two options to set as playing rules:

    • All players can cover the answer on their playing card. OR
    • The player who has spun the number covers the answer on their own card, the others wait for their turn to spin.

The first player to cover four squares in a row (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) wins!

*Some answers are duplicated on the playing grid to facilitate rows of four, if players land on a duplicated answer, they may choose either square to cover but may not change their choice later in the game.
