Description
If you need an end of the year activity to help your students make sense of the school year both personally and academically, then I've got you covered. In this time capsule synthesis final project, students combine reflections from what they've learned in each unit of the school year with their own personal growth and experiences living through all of the things that this school year has brought our way.
To see an overview of the project, check out this video!
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
This project has three main components: the interior of the vessel, the exterior of the vessel, and a discussion.
INTERIOR:
Unit by unit, students answer reflection questions in a journal and find personal (hard) artifacts to place inside the vessel that respond to each unit's Essential Question (or theme if that's what your school uses).
EXTERIOR:
Students respond to prompts related to the world around them during the school year and find images, book pages, QR codes, and other physical elements to adhere to the time capsule vessel.
