What educators are saying

This is a great resource for students to practice their listening, note-taking, and writing response skills. I feel they are learning more as they actively listen and watch the news.
Just started using this product last week. I am using it for 6-8 graders. I am happy with the product.

Description

Carl Azuz is back with his brand new show called The World from A to Z. It's an excellent format for students to stay informed on current events while watching a brief 9 minute segment that is updated every day with news highlights from around the world. This set of graphic organizer worksheets is an excellent way to analyze and summarize the current events of the day while watching the news broadcast by Carl Azuz ... he's back!

These various templates will help students of all ages stay engaged while watching The World From A to Z. A simple writing format helps students recognize, summarize, and write opinions about the major headlines of the day. I find this resource to be extremely practical for various social studies courses.

Use the variety of templates as a filler during that last 10 minutes of class, assign as homework or group work, take a trip to the lab, offer some extra credit, or help yourself out when you need emergency sub plans! Whichever the need, this resource is a wonderful way to keep your kids engaged with the news of the day.

Also included is a graphic organizer to help students write and create their very own show like Carl! Students will enjoy planning, writing, and filming a news broadcast of their own! You and your students will love watching World from A to Z with this resource set, and of course, who doesn't want to miss out on Carl and his punny puns!
