What educators are saying

Great activities to target language objectives across several therapy sessions. My students loved the illustrations and materials.
This is an amazing resource! I printed and cut everything out on Sunday night, and I was set for the week. It covers so many aspects of ELAR. I love it, and my students loved it. I will definitely be purchasing several more book companions. Thank you so much!

Description

The Wind Blew by Pat Hutchins is a classic story story (sold separately, online or in stores) in which characters continue to lose items to the wind. This literature unit is filled with six different follow-up activities and games to target listening, language and literacy! Following reading, engage your students in activities targeting:

1. Sequencing with Pictures (which is also a great retelling tool!)- 2 Sets are included, one with full details, and one with minimal visuals.

2. Comprehension Questions with two (picture) answer choices

3. Rhyme Sort- Sort pictures with like rhymes

4. A Windy Book Walk- A game to find items in the book matching given attributes and functions

5. Compare & Contrast- Tell how items in the book are the same and different

6. Sequencing Cut & Paste Worksheet- Listen to the story and paste the items in sequence.

Not only will your students LOVE this cute story, they'll also have fun with these follow-up activities targeting language, listening and literacy!
