Description

A 19-slide PowerPoint on the legend of William Tell. Engage students in reading the story, learning vocabulary, and understanding legends. Defines the term legend. Has 7 vocabulary words students should know for reading comprehension of the text. After they read, students decide whether they

believe the story is fact or fiction. Good discussion for determining what makes a legend. At the end, students learn William Tell really existed in the 1300's, but that is all we know for sure. They will enjoy learning about the William Tell Overture written by Gioachino Rossini in the 1800's, and through the link, watch and listen as the Milwaukee Symphony plays the famous tune. Use in Language Arts to learn about the oral tradition of legends or use in Music class to introduce the William Tell Overture. Use this digital resource in video conferencing or Zoom for remote learning. Share with your students in OneDrive and in Microsoft Teams, too. Just view in Slideshow mode. You can also upload to Google Drive and save as Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. You can easily use it in Google Classroom. It is editable and easy to adjust if necessary. See full preview. Note: animations do not show in preview.
