The Weight of Memory

Engage your students in Remembrance Day with four original poems arranged into readers theatre scripts and tableaux outlines! Great for students to be able to work on as a whole class or in smaller groups.

Respond to the poems through art and have them reflect on what they created. Students can draw, colour, paint etc. in response to the poem and could even use the included template to inspire a larger poster.

Writing in Role. Using the included image as a prompt and guiding questions, have your students write a letter in character. This activity could be further extended by having students read their letters to the class or share an exchange of letters between two characters.
