What educators are saying

Great resource to be able to have students build the unit circle and get some additional practice problems using the unit circle.
This was a favorite in class for my students as the unit circle was new to them. They really enjoyed "putting" it all together.

Description

Fill in the unit circle, digitally!  This Google Slides unit circle resource provides an alternative to a typical worksheet. On the first slide students will drag and drop the angles in degrees, the angles in radians, and the coordinates along the unit circle. A second slide has students identify the coordinate for the given angle. And it’s no prep for you!

Students will:

  • Drag and drop the angles in degrees
  • Drag and drop radian measures of the angles
  • Drag and drop the coordinates for each angle
  • Identify the coordinate for the given point along the unit circle (students should be familiar with positive and negative coterminal angles)

Content features:

  • Slide 1 - a full unit circle
  • Slide 2 - 20 questions, students will identify the coordinates for the given angle along the unit circle

This unit circle digital activity is a downloadable pdf that includes:

  • Access to the Google Slides activity
  • Answer key

This resource is great to assign for additional practice or a warm up. Display on an interactive whiteboard and complete as a class. It also makes a great activity to share with special education co-teachers or academic tutors.

Are your students tired of boring worksheets? This drag and drop activity provides a different way for students to engage in practice. The answer bank provided can support reluctant students with a safety net to help them reach the correct answer.

The best part? No standing at the copy machine! This assignment is no-prep for you!

TEACHERS LIKE YOU LOVE THE UNIT CIRCLE DIGITAL ACTIVITY! See what they said.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Prickly Pear Puzzles said, “I used this as a bell ringer for my students on the day we were studying for our test on our basic Trig unit for Algebra 2 students.  First, we reviewed some tips and tricks, next we really hit the 1st quadrant ah-has, then I challenged them to complete this with no notes, and then grab their notes when they felt like they needed to.  They enjoyed it and it was easy to differentiate for each student because they used their notes when they decided they needed to.  Well done! :)”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Martha said, “Used this as a graphic organizer to assist in discussion on the unit circle.  Worked beautifully”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Barbara said, “This was an excellent activity to reinforce skills regarding the unit circle.  My Algebra 2 classes enjoyed it.”

Understand radian measure of an angle as the length of the arc on the unit circle subtended by the angle.
Explain how the unit circle in the coordinate plane enables the extension of trigonometric functions to all real numbers, interpreted as radian measures of angles traversed counterclockwise around the unit circle.
Use special triangles to determine geometrically the values of sine, cosine, tangent for π/3, π/4 and π/6, and use the unit circle to express the values of sine, cosine, and tangent for π–𝘹, π+𝘹, and 2π–𝘹 in terms of their values for 𝘹, where 𝘹 is any real number.
Use the unit circle to explain symmetry (odd and even) and periodicity of trigonometric functions.
