What's Included In Each Social Story Pack?
Each story topic has a one-week suggested day plan to introduce and reinforce concepts (although there are so many activities you may not have time for all of them, so you can pick and choose instead to keep interest high!) The activities repeat for each story, so even very young students can become familiar with the formats and focus on the skill being taught.
You can teach the skills in any order and also pick and choose which activities you wish to do each week.
ACTIVITIES FOR EACH SOCIAL STORY TOPIC INCLUDE:
This character education bundle contains 33 different social skills topics. Each topic has a pack of 20+ activities that repeat throughout the whole bundle:
★ Teacher script to read aloud (questions embedded to guide conversation)
★ Full color reference posters
★ 6-page story book to add to your class library, or present as an e-book (includes thinking questions) There are two versions: first person and third person narrative.
★ Discussion Cards to use as conversation starters or to use as journal prompts
★ Mini-book (one page foldable) of the social story for students to color and fill in the speech bubble dialogue
★ Partner Play: a 3-person play to read or perform with the class to reinforce concepts
★ Paper characters; cut out and assemble the characters to act out the story
★ Make A Comic : Students fill in the comic and draw/write about their own connections to the topic, including how the might feel and what kind of self-talk they could use in that situation (emotions pictures for reference)
★ Sorting choices activity
★ Mini-Flip Book - writing about personal experiences with the topic
★ Social Skills Game Board - students answer each question they land on as a review of the discussion questions.

There are specifically designed for younger students because I have added more specific illustrations to more closely match each part of the social story. ★ ★ UPDATE 7 - I've added a BONUS pack of 32 Printable Social Stories that are written in FIRST PERSON. These are similar to the original set of social stories, but the writing is in first person. The illustrations are also more specific to the text for more visual understanding of the stories for non-readers. You may wish to print this version of stories instead of the ones included in the original packs.
★ ★ UPDATE 8 - I've added a BONUS story about KINDNESS so you now have 33 Printable Story packs plus story 33 materials are included in all the bonus packs as well (reminder watches, journal writing, printing, etc.)

WHAT ARE SOCIAL STORIES?
Social stories are simple stories that describe common situations that occur frequently in the classroom. They describe the situation, possible feelings that may occur, self-talk strategies that can be helpful, and the desired outcomes. These stories have been especially helpful for my younger students, students with autism or students with disruptive behavioural issues.
WHY ARE SOCIAL STORIES HELPFUL?
★ Social stories help clarify positive and expected social behaviours regarding routines, directions and peer interaction
★ Social stories reinforce shared emotions we all have, and how to cope with them in positive ways
★ Social stories teach and practice self-talk as a way to manage big emotions and reactions
★ Social stories help students cope with change, transitions, conflict and other distressing events
★ Social stories help students with behavioural needs gain skills in recognizing social cues and build meaningful friendships
ORGANIZATION
All of the social story teacher packs can be kept in a large binder for easy access. Each story can be pulled out quickly as needed for a quick lesson, or simply refer to the class posters for reminders and review.
