    Description

This bundle includes poetry packs with task cards, poems, and creative crafts to express figurative language.

These include digital resources for winter poetry, Valentine's Day poetry, Spring poetry, and poems inspired by Greek mythology.

It also includes a freebie of general figurative language task cards and a task card template you can edit and build your own task cards!

Ways to Use These Task Cards:

    1. Independent within a Group: Give one to each student to work on for an extended time in class. Allow students to consult other members of their group who are all working on the same poem. Students should write their answers for their individual task cards on their worksheet with the image.
    2. Centers: Use the cards in centers. If you want your students to work together, place the group of task cards that correspond to a poem at different spots around the room. Give students time to answer and complete each task. Students should then write the answers to each task card on their worksheet with the image.
    3. Independent: Give one task card to each student and ask them to work independently. After 10 minutes or so, have students switch cards to complete another task within the same poem. Students should then write the answers to each task card on their worksheet with the image.
