The Thinking Hats Role Play Game Activity

The purpose of this role play is to get people talking. The game requires one hour and is created for over 5 players, 15+.

Social skills and respectful communication are employment skills needed to survive in a competitive world. This role play will challenge group dynamics, set the stage for listening to each other and allows for a full debrief to self-reflect

I have used this role play in many different groups including diverse cultures and social perspectives. I would suggest not using it as a first point icebreaker, but more as a continuing teambuilding and bonding activity. Plus, if the team do decide to raise funds, we can help the community!

The Role Play requires some preparation; Printing, cutting and laminating - so you can continue to use the game over again. As we know, some accredited units require proof of holding and contributing to a team meeting. The subject of the meeting can be adapted to suit the assessment requirements. A whiteboard is also handy, to ensure the GOALS are clearly displayed. If your team has a Values and Mission statement, ensure this is also displayed - to refer to these before, during and after the Role Play.
