Description

“The Six Traits in a Pirate Adventure” is a musical script written by Rhonda Johanson to increase students’ understanding of the Six Traits of writing while enjoying the music from “Reflections of a Lad At Sea” by Don Besig and Nancy Price, along with “The Drunken Sailor” by Emily Crocker. The story takes place aboard a pirate ship with Captain Can’t Write in charge. He has stolen the Six Traits from your school and the traits are trying to figure out how to get back. While trapped on the ship, some of the pirates share their adventures. The heroic Captain Write Well comes to the rescue of the 6 traits guiding them back to your school. Through the use of humor and imaginative articulation, the 6 traits define their use for good writing.
