The Seven Step Strategy for Solving Word Problems

I created this strategy for my third grade students when I noticed that they continued to experience difficulties solving word problems, even after strategies from the math program had been taught and practiced. The Seven Step Strategy includes a song to help students remember the strategy AND can be used on pretty much every word problem! My students experienced much more success in understanding and solving word problems after I presented the Seven Step Strategy.
