Description

The Scientific Method tends to be a fairly boring topic to teach, so this Murder Mystery activity will help you make it loads of fun for you Science students!

It includes:

  • Introductory story
  • Clue cards
  • Evidence analysis sheet
  • Instructions for physical evidence testing
  • After-activity consolidation work on the Scientific Method, Variables, and Observations and Inferences.

Use this to introduce the Scientific Method to new Middle or High school students, to reignite knowledge in students who have done it before. Or it can also be used in Forensic Science units to tie in scientific ideas to crime.

This resource isn't necessarily flashy or completely beautiful, but it's an awesome way to engage learners and they have loads of fun with it! Students come out of the lesson with such a great understanding of the scientific method, and have something tangible to connect it to.
