The following 5-page document is a study guide movie packet to guide a viewer's analysis of the 1987 film "The Princess Bride" directed by Rob Reiner. The study guide can be used for study in an English or film studies class. The first page provides a cast and crew list and a background and introduction to the film. The second page provides a notes page for viewers to write their notes. The third page provides comprehension questions that actively challenge viewers to analyze the work's story and style. The fourth page provides discussion questions on the work's characterization, conflict, motifs, plot, and themes. The fifth page is a genre study that asks students to analyze what characteristics of an epic and fairy tale are in the film.
