Description

What are nasal sounds? In one syllable words, they are an /m/ or /n/ before the final consonant. Beginning spellers have trouble using them because when they say them, they come through the nasal passage more than from the lips. Kids can practice saying them by lightly pressing on their nose when they say a word like "bump", or pinching their nose shut and trying to say "bump", which will sound more like "bup" without their nose. Nasal sounds are fun, and I hope this fun bluegrass style song helps them practice!
