Description
In this unit, students will be organizing their own bake sale: choosing the products, making a grocery list, setting prices and simulating a bake sale. (There is no actual baking required!)
The final part of the task requires students to use simulation devices to simulate customers coming to their bake sale and making purchases.
Tasks are aligned to the Ontario Curriculum (covering Number Sense and Numeration, Measurement, Patterning and Algebra and Data Management and Probability) and the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics curriculum - corresponding to Grade 7 - and was created as enrichment for gifted students.
