Description
The Perfect ONE page rubric based on the Six Traits of Writing!
This file includes:
--Student friendly 6 point criteria charts based on the six traits of writing
--One chart has percent ranges for each point on a scale of 1: Beginner to 6: Exemplary (Example: 6 pts. = 95-100%)
--One chart has percent ranges left off in case you want to make your own
--One chart has a place for parents to sign and one does not depending on whether or not you want the writing piece returned with a parent signature
-- 1/2 sheet rubrics to save paper (I use this one by the end of the year as both students and parents are familiar with the grading by then.)
-- A six traits writing rubric in order to guide you, as a teacher, during the grading process. (I copy this on the back of the full page rubric at the beginning of the year to guide me in fair grading and for the parents/students to see more detailed explanation of each point.) So helpful!
I have spent HOURS trying to come up with the "perfect" writing rubric/criteria chart. This one has done wonders for me! Most are more than one page.
Writing is so difficult for students and I have found that by grading them on each trait separately, they are able to see which areas they are strong and which need improvement.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I hope you find this helpful.
Thanks,
Annemarie
