Description

This test is based on John Steinbeck's The Pearl, Common Core Standards 1-5 (making inferences, development of a theme, complex characters, words and phrases, and structure of a text), and question stems for the common core standards. This practice test asks students to identify themes in a passage and provide textual evidence to support their assessment. This practice test has multi-part questions and multiple select questions. It also requires students to create and fill in graphic organizers to analyze a text. I have provided an answer sheet for the students to use to make grading easier and an answer key.
