Teacher’s Guide:

Sequencing Activity – Students can cut and manipulate the order of events by rearranging the text boxes. This is a great tool in helping students move and debate the order of events.

Literacy Study Guide – This book is great for discussing the key elements of a literature piece. Prompted questions are also included with each element such as setting, main character and problem/solution. This can be added easily into an interactive notebook or sent home as a tool for parents to use during homework or bedtime reading!

AR Quiz Tickets – This is more for the teacher. I like use these in small group settings. If you are going to read this story with a group, send them to their desk with the quiz number in their hand so they can take an Accelerated Reader quiz when you move to your next group.
