What educators are saying

I was looking for a way to incorporate the movie into my class after reading. This was a perfect addition. My only suggestion would be to edit the permission slip so that it is more specific to "The Odyssey." Thanks!
Some of this was difficult for students with more significant learning disabilities, but it was a good resource for me to build from as the teacher

Description

The Odyssey Movie Guide | Questions | Worksheet | Google Formats (PG13 - 1997) challenges students to analyze the concepts and characters in Odysseus' adventure. This is a great way to introduce students to Homer's Greek epic or take a deeper look after studying the written version. Explore Odysseus' relationship with the gods and the lessons he learns along the way about life, family, love and temptation.

Movie Version Notes:

This is the 1997 TV movie version starring Armand Assante. This movie is available in two different formats. The original version aired on TV in two 1.5hr segments and a single 3hr movie version. The Amazon Prime version is also in two, 1.5hr segments. This movie guide has time stamps for the 3hr version. However, if you have a different version there are also worded time stamps (short descriptions) of where to stop the movie for each question.

What Are the Questions Like?

Check the preview file for high resolution sample questions to see if this movie guide is suitable for your students. This resource consists of 19 high-level, short answer reflection and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
