The Nutcracker Suite - Chinese Dance (A Listening Map)-SMARTBOARD/NOTEBOOK ED.

This Smart Notebook Lesson is appropriate for elementary music students of all ages and is part 7 of a 9 part unit. In this lesson, students will follow a listening map as they hear the Chinese dancers spring about, dancing joyfully to their bouncy happy tune. Students will recognize the variations of high and low sounds and what instruments represent those sounds in the piece. Included in this lesson is a YouTube link to a short video clip of the Russian Mariinsky Ballet Company performing this fun, cheery tune.
