The Louisiana Purchase

A SmartBoard Notebook file that contains 4 slides, the first of which has a map with pictures and seven questions that could be used as discussion prompts, a written assignment or as a group exercise. There is also a T-Chart that asks students to note down reasons for and against the Louisiana Purchase, which can then be turned into a discussion about strict vs. loose constructionism in early American politics. The last slide is simply blank for note-making and Socratic discussion. The file is easily convertible to PDF format if you choose to use it as a handout.
