What educators are saying

It gave my students a large visual and they had to answer questions to get perspective of characters.
These body biographies are some of my favorite assessents with students. It's great to see they research and be creative.

Description

Help your students make sense of the characters in the first chapter of The Great Gatsby with this fun characterization poster project. Each of the five characters introduced in the novel's first chapter are included and prints on a four-page poster. All you have to do is print!

Each poster features black and white clipart for your students to decorate and design based on the characters' descriptions. Prompt questions are included around the poster for students to complete.

This activity could be done in groups, with each group working on a different character, or as an independent project. The posters will make for great classroom displays once completed and can help your students keep track of who's who in the novel.

Each character prints on four pieces of paper and is easily aligned. Characters include: Nick, Tom, Daisy, Jordan, and Gatsby.
