The Giver: Memory Transmission Creative Writing Activity

Involve your students in The Giver with this fun writing activity! This project consists of three steps:

1. Students use the list to write or draw 16 personal memories from their lives. (This board can also be used to play bingo if students write the number in the squares as well.)
2. Student choose one memory to write that they would give to Jonas as his first memory. The worksheet includes prewriting work to help students develop their memory sequentially and include sensory details.
3. After writing their memory, students transmit their memory to two classmates and reflect and react to the two memories they received
