The Four Hats of Social Studies

This presentation covers an explanation of the 4 different "hats" of Social Studies: history, geography, government/civics, and economics. Using and applying the 4 hats is critical for inquiry and encouraging students to think deeper than just surface level. This activity paired with the Four Hats of Social Studies Sort will allow students to apply their 4 hat thinking and lay the foundation for different types of critical thinking in your classroom.
