I currently teach a course on classroom management at Auburn University for foreign language interns and teachers, and I teach French full-time at a public high school. This guide is a condensed but thorough version of the course I teach on management at Auburn University with the system that I use in my own classroom.
I created this guide specifically for the needs of foreign language teachers. We as foreign language teachers have very special needs when it comes to structuring our classrooms to help us and students stay in the target language over 90% of the time. Whether you teach in a "high-risk" school, a magnet school, or a private school, these strategies will work to give you the classroom atmosphere and joy of teaching that you've always wanted. I use these techniques in my own classroom and can say first hand that they do work and that they will make your class more fun and enjoyable for both you and your students!
