What educators are saying

I love to read this book to students when introducing division- it's always a hit! I have never had anything to go along with it, so this was perfect. Each time the doorbell rang I had students divide up the cookies evenly amongst the children. I think it helped visualize division.
This was a great resource to introduce the. concept of division to students. Students were easily able to grasp the concept of equally sharing through the use of these visuals and the story. This was such a great resource for my support classroom.

Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
