The Crayon Box That Talked - COMPLETE LESSON & ACTIVITY

This file includes a complete lesson plan and activity to accompany the book "The Crayon Box That Talked." I use this lesson with Kindergarten, but it could also be used in 1st Grade. Included with this download: list of materials needed, overview of the discussion, object cards (can be printed and ready for use), the complete lesson plan w/ ASCA standards addressed, and my BOOK BACK LABEL (or "quick label") that can be placed on the back of your read aloud to assist with the lesson. No memorizing needed! The only things you would need to take to the lesson are: the book, (2) wrapped packages (outlined in lesson), the object cards, and a set of crayons or dry erase markers. This lesson is designed to be simple, with minimal prep and high impact. Your students will remember this lesson for a long time, as well as the message to NOT JUDGE A BOOK (OR PERSON) BY ITS COVER.
